Complexity Teacher (Competition No. T37-2526-BSS)

East Central Alberta Catholic Separate School Division invites applications for the position of 1.0 FTE Complexity Teacher, commencing on August 26, 2026. This position will be based in Wainwright and will support multiple schools across the division for Grades 7 to 12. Preference will be given to candidates with related teaching experience.

The role of a Complexity Teacher focuses on targeted interventions and skill development for students who require additional support. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with classroom teachers and support staff to strengthen foundational academic, self-regulation, and learning readiness skills that contribute to long-term student success.

Key Areas of Support

The Complexity Teacher will provide targeted support in the following areas:

• Supporting Junior and Senior High School students with numeracy and literacy by closing learning gaps through small, skill-like groups and possible push-in classroom support
• Supporting social-emotional learning
• Regulation and Executive Functioning
• Assisting students with self-regulation, organization, attention and readiness for learning.
