Join our first‑class team to reinvent in‑flight experience. In the role of Commodity Manager, you’ll play a pivotal part on our Supply Chain team. The Commodity Manager is responsible for the Commodity Strategy that will be or has been established for assigned commodities in the Branch and will oversee a group of strategic suppliers that constitute the Safran Cabin supply base.

Responsibilities Responsible for the Commodity Strategy For a defined list of commodities, establish the commodity strategy with the full involvement of the other operating sites of the Branch, as applicable. Define the sourcing and supplier base strategy (Make or Buy, consolidation, reduction, development of new source). Report and communicate on a regular basis the strategy progress and outputs at the branch and divisions leadership levels.

Consolidate all data related to the commodity from the sites; stay abreast of all innovations and technical evolutions to integrate into supplier management and contractual relationships. Build planning, KPI assessment related to the strategy. Ensure follow‑up of the strategy commodity implementation within the site level.

Act as the referent externally and internally for commodities. Consolidation of Data Related to the Common Strategic Suppliers Drive market analysis, outlooks and competition analysis, turnover evolution and dependency ratios from the different sites and for the branch. Gather and update supplier data.

Operational performance at each site: quality of the deliveries (SNCR). Consolidate the annual purchasing performance achieved related to their commodity and build visibility on three years. Lead with the support of the Supplier Development team the risk analysis, including follow‑up of the mitigation plan.

Provide a consolidated picture updated before each performance review. Management of the Suppliers Contractual Relationship Prepare and process Global RFQ, including the needs and volumes of the concerned sites. Negotiate the LTA and define the acceptable terms and conditions with support from branch contracts.

Prepare and get approval for global sourcing decisions. Obtain contract signed by the applicable legal entities. Check that contract provisions are applied and respected by the sites.

Twice per year, consolidate forecast volumes and check compliance with allocated volumes. Lead an annual capacity survey towards suppliers on at least a 12‑month forecast with consolidated volumes for all branch sites. Trigger requests for quality/capacity/process audits and dedicated countermeasures.

Monitoring of Supplier Performance Review non‑conformance reports written against suppliers and relay information to them. Organize, define frequency and prepare the supplier performance review meeting. Coordinate with the sites, purchasing quality, supplier development team, engineering and program teams when relevant.

Support the supplier development team and the supplier quality team when implementing operational excellence initiatives at the supplier (SOTD, VLD, SNCR). Collaborate for innovation in the development of supplier offers on a technological aspect according to program or new project needs. Performance Measurement Efficiency of the mission: evolution of the operational performance of the suppliers for all business units concerned in the branch (SOTD, VLD, SNCR).

Implementation of agreements with suppliers. Annual cost reduction with suppliers. All above elements must align with branch targets.

Monthly reports at the purchasing committee. Develop a partnership relationship with suppliers. Qualifications Experience: At least 8 years in the position of Strategic Buyer or Manager, Commodity Manager role or related function.

Strong knowledge of the purchasing process and supplier quality assurance. Strong knowledge of the technologies and processes of suppliers in their commodities. Negotiation skills and ability to adapt.

Good understanding of ERP system principles. Knowledge of legal aspects. Capability to manage business relationships for the internal network: openness, listening skills, understanding specificities but oriented on global optimization of results.

Fluent communication in English; another European language a plus. Must know the market linked to the commodity and understand its technical and technological aspects, being an expert in the category. Act as a resource for less experienced Commodity Managers.
