As a Commercial Underwriting Assistant, you will play a central role in Underwriting and work closely with our international teams and business partners in Spain and abroad. Responsibilities

  • Enter quotation details into our underwriting systems, in accordance with Underwriters' instructions.
  • Issue indicative quotations and renewal quotations, in accordance with the instructions of the Underwriting Support Team Manager.
  • Maintain contact with brokers regarding renewals and assist with enquiries, as directed by the Underwriters.
  • Follow up on and address outstanding broker queries and information requests.
  • Ensure that our underwriting systems, electronic filing system, and document repository are kept up to date, with accurate and well-organized information.
  • Assist with internal audits.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our tools and processes.

Requirements

  • Completed university degree in economics or a comparable qualification
  • Excellent Spanish skills and business-fluent English, both written and spoken
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Analytical mindset, initiative, and a structured, precise working style
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, coupled with a strong commercial and business-focused approach.
  • High willingness to learn, sense of responsibility, and team spirit
  • Ability to stay organized and perform under pressure, even when handling multiple tasks
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally
  • Initial work experience through internships or student jobs, as well as international experience, is a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of Italian or Spanish is an advantage – but not a requirement
