Commercial Sales Manager – HVAC Products – Carrier Enterprise is a leading national distributor of residential and light commercial HVAC products, parts, and supplies. This role, based in Houston, TX, focuses on expanding the commercial HVAC business across the assigned region, achieving sales and margin plans for all lines of business. Job Responsibilities Develop and implement market strategies to drive growth across all product lines.
Lead and manage Sales Engineers and Inside Sales Engineers to achieve monthly sales and performance objectives. Develop and cultivate relationships with commercial customers and mechanical contractors. Implement and manage sales programs and promotions.
Partner with regional leadership to devise and deploy sales objectives and goals for the assigned market. Work with Carrier's regional manager on marketing budget and inventory. Develop strong working relationships internally with cross‑functional teams and externally with key contacts.
Develop and manage delivery of ongoing training and education programs for the sales team. Supervise staff, organize, assign, and monitor work processes. Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned area.
Requirements 5+ years of experience with B2B sales in HVAC, construction, control systems, ductless and/or VRF technology. Minimum of 3+ years of progressive leadership experience with increasing responsibility. An undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering or a similar technical discipline.
Graduate degree (MBA or related MS) preferred. Solid understanding of HVAC principles. Qualifications Exceptional leadership, communication, judgment, and strategic planning abilities.
Ability to persuade, convince, influence, and impress others. Strong executive leadership presence and business acumen. Self‑starter with excellent presentation, phone, and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a sales leadership capacity within the HVAC or distribution industry. Deep domain knowledge of the commercial HVAC marketplace.
