Job Description
Commercial Manager โ Facilities Management (Government Sector) Location: UK (Hybrid) We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to take ownership of a major Facilities Management contract within the Government sector. This is a key role within the ISS UK Commercial function, responsible for protecting and driving commercial value across the full contract lifecycle. This position requires a strong commercially minded individual who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, working closely with operational, finance, and client stakeholders to ensure strong governance, sustainable margin performance, and effective contract management.
Key responsibilities include: Leading the end-to-end management of contract variations, including identification, pricing, submission, negotiation, and recovery Acting as the primary commercial interface with the client for all contractual matters, negotiations, and dispute resolution Driving margin improvement, cost control, and long-term commercial sustainability of the contract Managing commercial risk, governance, compliance, and contractual obligations throughout the lifecycle of the contract Overseeing WIP, forecasting, and financial performance in partnership with Finance Business Partners Supporting operational teams with commercial guidance to ensure accurate pricing and cost recovery on billable works Translating commercial strategy into operational delivery outcomes Identifying commercial opportunities and mitigating risks proactively Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders across client, operations, finance, and supply chain Key requirements: Proven experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial role within Facilities Management Strong understanding of Government contracts, ideally including CCS and NEC frameworks Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing margin, risk, and pricing models Demonstrable experience in contract variation management and commercial negotiation Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience at senior level Ability to analyse complex commercial data and translate into clear business decisions Strong understanding of contract, risk, and change management principles Proactive, driven approach with the ability to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment This is an excellent opportunity to join a global organisation where you will play a key role in shaping commercial performance on a high-profile government contract, with further opportunity to support a wider portfolio following initial contract stabilisation.
