AFEMEA Sales & Marketing Commercial Finance Analyst – Open location in Europe. Full-time employee, hybrid shift. Locations include Porto, PT; Bristol, GB; La Defense, FR; Prague, CZ.

JOB DETAILS Position: Commercial Finance Analyst Business Group/Unit: AFEMEA Sales & Marketing Function: Commercial Excellence – Finance and Commercial GKA Line Manager: Senior Director Commercial Finance AFEMEA Contract: Permanent Job Purpose The Commercial & Finance Analyst is a key member of the Commercial Excellence Team and is responsible for providing strategic business analysis services to different business partners (Sales and Marketing, Corporate, CE Central, GKA and CE Business Unit teams/functions). The focus is to work closely with these partners to gain an in-depth understanding of the customer's business strategy, processes, and generate and execute initiatives that improve profit margins and enable profitable growth. JOB DIMENSIONS & SCOPE The position reports to the GKA Commercial and Finance Director with functional links to: GKA Account Directors, BU Commercial Excellence Directors, Senior CE Director, VP Sales & Marketing, VP Commercial Excellence and maintains close relationships with the Pricing and Costing Team and Central CE / Value+ Team.

Principal Accountabilities Provide finance and commercial support to business cases, tenders and value propositions by preparing financial analysis, scenarios and recommendations to GKA SD’s. Support the contract management process by reviewing commercial terms, using standard contract forms, best practices and monitoring compliance vs existing agreements. Own continuous tracking, validation and commercial approval of Salesforce.com GKA actions, monitor pipeline and support timely execution of actions from a commercial perspective.

Create, maintain, and update cost models and raw‑material GKA trackers to assess impact on customer profitability. Margin Enhancement and Recovery Management Identify, plan and drive Value Plus actions that create profitable growth and are aligned with customer needs. Follow the ValuePlus agenda by preparing and following up on GKA ValuePlus reviews, suggesting areas of improvement to remove leakers, change mix or contract clauses.

Monitor quarterly GKA PMDB margin review process, propose customers/segments, leakers to be reviewed, drive action definition and follow‑up and establish link with other Value Plus reviews. Trigger and track actions resulting from developments of key raw materials, transport, energy and currency with Sales & Marketing. Continuously develop commercial approach to management of raw material cost risks and opportunities.

Support on Global Key Account Analysis and/or specific central Projects Lead or participate in key EMEA, Global GKA and/or Cross‑BG projects by completing and updating project documentation, managing scope, adjusting schedules, determining daily priorities, ensuring efficient on‑time delivery of tasks and milestones, following proper escalation paths and managing stakeholder relationships. Produce project level analysis – required documentation such as business requirements, scope matrix, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, etc. Miscellaneous Coordinate GKA Account Plans, Budget and Monthly reports for Global Key Accounts.

Full preparation and involvement in GKA’s perimeter Operating Plan. Ad‑hoc analysis as requested. Major Challenges & Complexities Work in a fast‑moving matrix environment with numerous simultaneous deadlines.

Qualifications / Requirements Formal Qualifications and Experience Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Sales/Commercial/Controlling. University degree in applied economics, business administration, finance, engineering or a related field. Preferably strong knowledge of packaging business or related industries such as consumer goods or process industries.

Strong ability and experience to manage in a cross‑cultural environment. Language Skills Fluent English; other European language preferred. Specific Skills and Abilities Strong business, commercial and finance skills.

Experience working successfully in a matrix organization. Very good analytical, problem‑solving and conceptual skills; ability to think “out of the box.” Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast‑paced, virtual environment. Results oriented, accountable and a key team player.

Experience in advising, problem analysis and developing recommendations. Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills. Continuously challenge, motivate and improve processes, people and results.
