Collections Analyst (New York)

Our client is looking to hire an Analyst – Worldwide Compliance to support royalty compliance and cash collections across their global licensing business. This is an initial 9-month contract fully onsite opportunity. Contract- 9 months Schedule –Onsite in NYC What You’ll Be Doing Review contracts and compare financial terms against royalty statements to ensure compliance Trace financial activity across the contract lifecycle to identify and resolve discrepancies Partner with internal teams and licensees to correct reporting and submission errors Troubleshoot system access and reporting issues related to royalty processing Reach out to licensees to resolve open AR balances and compliance issues Monitor expected cash flow and ensure timely receipt of payments Maintain accurate tracking of receivables and collection statuses Assist with unapplied payments and support invoice/account balance inquiries Support month-end close activities and ad hoc reporting needs What We’re Looking For 3–5 years of experience in royalties, licensing, collections, or accounting Strong understanding of general accounting principles Experience reviewing contracts and identifying financial discrepancies Strong Excel skills for tracking, reporting, and analysis Ability to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management Qualifications B.A. or B.S. in Business, Finance, or related field Experience in operations finance, accounting, or licensing preferred Must be able to commit to the duration of the contract Nice to Have Royalty accounting experience (big plus) Experience in music, publishing, or media industries Experience with both royalties and cash collections
