CNC Mill Programmer

CNC Mill Programmer 5 Axis Focused Position Overview We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Programmer with strong expertise in 5 axis machining. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in Mastercam programming and capable of planning, programming, and supporting the production of complex parts from blueprint to finished product. Experience with 3 axis and 4 axis programming is a plus, and the ability to program CNC lathes is considered a valuable bonus.

Experienced CNC Machinists (vertical and horizontal 5-axis) as well as lathe operators and CAD drafters welcome to apply as there are positions open. Primary Responsibilities " Create CNC programs for 5 axis mills, with additional work on 3 axis and 4 axis mills as needed " Daily programming using Mastercam (2025 or newer) " Review blueprints and determine machining strategy and sequence of operations " Select appropriate tooling and cutting parameters " Design fixtures for CNC mill operations " Produce setup sheets and documentation for machinists and operators " Update and revise programs as required " Determine material requirements and coordinate with purchasing " Collaborate with CAD, machinists, and management to ensure accurate production " Review new jobs, prioritize workflow, and support continuous improvement " Evaluate returned or nonconforming parts and update documentation as needed " Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications " Minimum 5 years of Mastercam programming experience (2020 or newer) " Strong background in 5 axis CNC milling " Experience with HEM (High Efficiency Machining) preferred " Experience with SolidCAM is a plus " Hands on experience as a CNC mill machinist " Ability to program ferrous metals, non ferrous metals, and plastics " Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and tight tolerance machining " Ability to work independently with minimal supervision " Excellent communication skills and teamwork mindset " High attention to detail and strong work ethic Bonus Skills " Programming experience with CNC lathes " Experience with multi pallet machining systems " Fixture design for complex setups Compensation $65,000-$90,000 per year. Pay is negotiable depending on experience.
