CNC Machinist

High Speed CNC & Boring Mill Machinists

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate our boring mill and/or high speed CNC machines -- experience with Heidenhain and Fanuc Controls preferred
• Ability to operate overhead crane to load/remove molds
• Ability to set up work for machining -- square up, clamps, eyebolts, plates, roughing; experience with Fastmill (FCS) plates an asset
• Ability to review/edit programs -- Cimatron experience an asset
• Communicates tooling needs to CNC Manager and Shop Foreman
• Works efficiently to meet critical deadlines while maintaining quality

Qualifications:

• Previous high speed CNC and/or boring mill experience required
• Exceptionally well organized, results-driven
• Ability to time manage and prioritize multiple competing tasks
• Accountable for work performed and strong communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Strong problem solving and technical skills
• Ability to work both days and afternoons

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience with operating overhead crane is preferred.

Salary Range

• $24-30/hr
• Overtime after 40 hours
• 8% Afternoon Shift Premium
