Cloud Platform Engineer

Role: Cloud Platform Engineer Experience: 5 to 12 years Location: Chennai Role Overview The Cloud Platform Engineer is responsible for building, managing, and optimizing Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available platform services. The role involves cloud operations, hybrid connectivity, infrastructure automation, monitoring, security compliance, and disaster recovery while supporting critical banking applications and services. Key Responsibilitie s• Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure cloud services, including compute, networking, storage, and identity solutions, ensuring performance, security, and availability .• Design and support hybrid cloud connectivity between Azure and on-premises environments using technologies such as ExpressRoute, VPN, and private networking .• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, and CI/CD pipelines .• Manage and optimize Azure networking components, including Virtual Networks, VNet Peering, DNS, Load Balancers, Application Gateways, and traffic routing services .• Administer identity and access management by integrating Microsoft Entra ID with on-premises Active Directory and implementing secure access controls .• Monitor cloud environments, perform system administration tasks, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and ensure optimal platform performance .• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and security analytics solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Microsoft Sentinel .• Lead incident resolution, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and drive problem management activities to improve service reliability .• Manage software deployments, upgrades, patching, and security updates in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards .• Design and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions to support mission-critical workloads .• Enforce cloud security best practices, including network security, encryption, private connectivity, and identity governance .• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, network, and operations teams to ensure compliance, governance, and operational excellence .• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and support runbooks .
