Cloud Architect

Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Architect with 10-15 years of hands-on experience across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to lead the design, implementation, and governance of large-scale, secure, and resilient cloud solutions. The role requires deep expertise in both Azure and AWS, strong architectural leadership, and the ability to drive cloud transformation initiatives aligned with business goals. Key Responsibilities Cloud Architecture & Strategy • Define and own enterprise cloud architecture across Azure and AWS platforms • Develop cloud strategy, target architectures, and roadmaps aligned with business objectives • Design scalable, highly available, secure, and cost-optimized multi-cloud solutions • Lead cloud adoption, migration, and modernization initiatives (rehost, replatform, refactor) • Establish Azure and AWS Landing Zones, governance frameworks, and best practices Technical Leadership • Act as the cloud architecture authority for Azure and AWS • Review and approve solution designs, ensuring compliance with standards and best practices • Mentor cloud architects, engineers, and DevOps teams • Lead architecture reviews, design workshops, and technical decision forums Azure & AWS Technologies • Architect solutions using Azure services, including: o Compute: Virtual Machines, App Services, AKS, Azure Functions o Networking: VNet, ExpressRoute, VPN, Azure Firewall, Load Balancer o Data: Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Synapse, Data Factory, Storage o Security: Azure AD, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Sentinel • Architect solutions using AWS services, including: o Compute: EC2, Auto Scaling, ECS, EKS, Lambda o Networking: VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Elastic Load Balancers o Storage & Data: S3, EBS, EFS, RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift o Security: IAM, KMS, WAF, Shield, GuardDuty, Security Hub • Design hybrid and multi-cloud architectures integrating Azure, AWS, and on premises systems Security, Compliance & Governance • Implement Zero Trust and security-by-design principles across cloud platforms • Define identity, access management, encryption, and compliance controls • Ensure adherence to enterprise, regulatory, and industry security standards • Drive governance using Azure Policy, Management Groups, AWS Organizations, and SCPs DevOps, Automation & Observability • Promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM, Bicep, Terraform, and CloudFormation • Enable CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and AWS-native tools • Implement monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, CloudWatch, and centralized logging solutions Cost Optimization & Reliability • Apply FinOps best practices across Azure and AWS • Drive cost optimization, performance tuning, and capacity planning • Ensure architectures align with Azure Well-Architected Framework and AWS Well-Architected Framework Stakeholder & Business Engagement • Collaborate with business leaders, security teams, and delivery teams • Translate business requirements into robust multi-cloud solutions • Support pre-sales activities, RFPs, and client solutioning when required Required Skills & Experience Experience • 10-15 years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture • Strong, proven experience across both Microsoft Azure and AWS • Experience delivering enterprise-scale, multi-cloud platforms and transformations • Leadership experience in large migration and modernization programs T echnical Skills • Expert-level knowledge of Azure and AWS architecture, networking, and security • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud and multi-cloud design patterns • Experience with containers, microservices, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures • Strong DevOps, automation, and CI/CD experience Soft Skills • Strong architectural thinking and analytical skills • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities • Proven leadership, mentoring, and decision-making capability Certifications (Strongly Preferred) • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional • Azure Security / AWS Security certifications (Good to have) • TOGAF or equivalent architecture framework (Optional) • Expert-level knowledge of Azure and AWS architecture, networking, and security • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud and multi-cloud design patterns • Experience with containers, microservices, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures • Strong DevOps, automation, and CI/CD experience Diverse Lynx LLC is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
