We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (Band 6) within NHSGGC’s Women and Children’s Directorate, specialising in Uro‑Gynaecology. This rewarding role places you at the forefront of delivering expert, patient‑centred care, working autonomously and as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team. Duration, Location and Working Pattern: New Victoria Hospital Fixed‑Term for 6 months Monday to Friday Salary is pro rata for part‑time hours Key responsibilities: Deliver expert clinical assessment, diagnosis and management for patients with uro‑gynaecology conditions Manage and prioritise a defined patient caseload, ensuring accurate care planning and continuity of care Run specialist clinics, order and interpret diagnostic tests and implement evidence‑based treatment plans Provide advice, education and emotional support to patients, families and the wider multidisciplinary team Act as a clinical expert and role model, supporting and supervising nursing and junior staff Lead or contribute to audit, research and service development to enhance patient outcomes Maintain accurate records, contribute to risk management and support quality improvement initiatives Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job: First level Registered Nurse with significant post‑registration experience Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience Demonstrable specialist knowledge in uro‑gynaecology or related clinical field Evidence of ongoing professional development and commitment to achieving clinical competencies Strong clinical decision‑making skills with the ability to work autonomously in a complex environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including handling sensitive and complex information Ability to lead, support and influence practice within a multidisciplinary team setting What we offer: We offer a wide range of supportive policies designed to enhance your employee journey, including a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme, Cycle to Work Scheme, bursary scheme, and extensive learning and development opportunities.
