The RoleAn opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse Consultant (Mental Health - Acute Care Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.You willProvide efficient and responsive mental health assessment and management at a high levelLead quality activities and/or research to improve clinical practice and multidisciplinary servicesManage a portfolio in a specialist area of interest and complete specific responsibilities relevant to the portfolio consistent with skill level and level of practiceImplement and monitor the organisation's quality standards, occupational health and safety policies, procedures and programs and provide clinical governance in the relevant work areaAbout youTo be successful in this position you will require:A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalentRegistration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of AustraliaBe credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing)A Masters or higher qualification within a relevant area is highly desirableDriver LicenceEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis BTuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be requiredDeclaration of serious discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)BenefitsFlexible work optionsCareer DevelopmentSalary PackagingModern FacilitiesDiverse Work CultureResearch Opportunities12.75% super17.5% leave loadingSalaryPermanent full time or permanent part time (hours negotiable up to 76hrs per fortnight)Base salary ranging from $140,632 - $152,685 per annum or $70.92 - $77.00 per hourAbout UsThe Gold Coast Acute Community Mental Health (ACMH) services provide 24 hour, 7 day a week specialist mental health care service. This includes: the first point of contact for the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) Mental Health Service to provide education, support, information, advice and referral. Telephone triage, crisis intervention, clinical assessment-in reach into emergency departments and community via Co-responder teams, screening admissions to public mental health inpatient services.
