The role The Clinical Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new client growth through referral partnerships across the Phoenix healthcare community. This is an in-person, outside sales role focused on building, activating, and growing referral relationships with physicians, care teams, and community partners. You will spend your time in the field—visiting offices, following up consistently, and creating new opportunities for Navi to serve patients.
Success in this role requires comfort with outreach, persistence, and the ability to navigate rejection while continuing to build trust over time. While clinical credibility is important, this role carries clear expectations around activity, relationship development, and revenue growth. What you’ll do Partnership Development & Growth Build and grow a network of referral partners across the Phoenix area (physician offices, surgery centers, case managers, senior living, etc.) Proactively identify, approach, and engage new partners through in-person visits, outreach, and follow-up Maintain a consistent cadence of field activity (office visits, meetings, touchpoints) Own and grow a pipeline of referral relationships that convert into active clients Sales Execution & Accountability Drive new client acquisition through partner referrals Consistently follow up with partners to activate and sustain referral volume Track outreach, meetings, and conversions to ensure progress toward growth goals Operate with a high level of ownership over results—not just activity Clinical Positioning & Education Confidently communicate Navi’s model and the value of private-duty nursing in the home Educate partners on appropriate use cases and patient fit Bridge clinical understanding with business development conversations Internal Collaboration Partner with internal teams to ensure smooth referral intake and care transitions Share field insights to improve messaging, partnerships, and growth strategy Help refine and strengthen Navi’s go-to-market approach over time Who you are You’re a Registered Nurse (AZ) or have strong healthcare experience (preferred but not required) You have experience in sales, business development, or relationship-driven growth roles (healthcare strongly preferred) You are comfortable with outside sales—including cold outreach, in-person visits, and persistent follow-up You are resilient and energized by building something—not discouraged by rejection You’re personable, confident, and able to quickly build rapport in professional settings You take ownership of outcomes, not just effort This Role Is a Great Fit If You… Enjoy being in the field and meeting new people regularly Like the challenge of building something from the ground up Are motivated by performance, growth, and earning potential Can balance relationship-building with clear business outcomes Want to expand your impact beyond bedside care into growth and strategy Location & Hours Primarily in-person with remote capabilities; must have phone and reliable internet.
Initial onboarding and training at Navi HQ (Phoenix). Average 40 hours/week, including some weekends depending on client/partner availability. Flexible scheduling based on clients/partners and operational demands.
Travel to the office (Phoenix, AZ) and/or client sites required.
