Job DescriptionCare Manager Hibernia Home Care Group | Full-time, Permanent - Office Locations (note location in Vacancy Header): Dublin South - Kimmage, Dublin 12 Kildare - Maynooth, Co. Kildare Dublin North - Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 We are recruiting an experienced Care Manager to lead care quality and team performance for our growing team of Home Care Support Workers. This is a senior, field-based role with real accountability and a clearly defined remit.

The Role Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager - Care Service & Quality, the Care Manager is accountable for the quality of care delivered to all clients in their region, and for the performance and development of the care team operating there.
You will lead a team of Client Care Coordinators and Healthcare Assistants, hold the day-to-day relationship with HSE area case managers, and ensure that care planning, supervision, quality assurance, and safeguarding obligations are met to HSE service specification and HIQA standard. This is a substantive management role. You will have delegated authority to run your region within agreed parameters and will be expected to manage it.
What You'll Be Doing Leading care planning, reviews, and care quality across your client base Supervising and developing Client Care Coordinators and Healthcare Assistants in the field Conducting formal supervisions, biannual appraisals, and the National Carer Competency Assessment (NCCA) process Acting as the day-to-day liaison with HSE area case managers Responding to client and family concerns and resolving complaints to a high standard Acting as first-line responder for safeguarding concerns in the region. Overseeing quarterly QA visits and following through on findings Ensuring new carers complete their mandatory shadowing before first solo visit Participating in the clinical on-call rota for out-of-hours care escalation. About You Essential: Relevant health or social care qualification - QQI Level 6 or above in a relevant discipline Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory or senior care role in home care, residential care, or a comparable healthcare setting Demonstrated working knowledge of HSE Home Support Service Specifications and HIQA standards Confident user of care management systems (OneTouch preferred) and Microsoft 365 Proven ability to lead, supervise, and develop a frontline care team Strong communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills Full clean driving licence and own car (field-based role across the region).
