Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a permanent, full-time position with our client in Belfast. Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 vehicles safely, responsibly and in accordance with all relevant legislation.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and promptly report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Ensure full compliance with Driver's Hours, tachograph regulations and transport legislation.
• Check that all loads are safely and securely loaded before setting off.
• Complete deliveries safely, efficiently and within agreed delivery times.
• Complete all delivery paperwork accurately and report any issues, delays or discrepancies.
• Follow customer site rules and all company health & safety procedures.
• Maintain a professional, courteous and customer-focused approach at all times.

Requirements

• Full UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum of 1 years' HGV driving experience.
• Previous experience driving articulated vehicles within a distribution or logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of Driver's Hours, tachograph requirements and transport legislation.
• Good knowledge of the Northern Ireland road network is highly beneficial.
• Good standard of spoken and written English.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively and follow planned routes.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and professional approach to driving.
