Job Description

Claims Consultant - Property & Casualty Claims Applicants must be within driving distance to our Nashville, TN office to be considered for this role and have the ability to commute to the office a minimum of three days per week. A day in the life. As an Claims Consultant - Property & Casualty Claims, you will: Claims Management: Utilize Origami to track and update claims and leverage EPIC to obtain copies of policies for assigned accounts.

Manage and handle claims of high complexity from intake through resolution. Assigned a minimum of 25 client accounts to actively monitor and manage. Proactively follow up on open P&C claims across property, general liability, and auto lines to ensure timely progression toward resolution.

Negotiate with adjusters on behalf of clients to drive favorable claims outcomes. Adopt a forward‑looking coverage approach for assigned casualty claims by proactively identifying potential challenges and leveraging opportunities to enhance client results. Prepare, organize and present materials for claim review meetings and stewardship meetings for assigned accounts.

Collaborate with the Claims Intake Team to support accurate and timely claim reporting, serving as a knowledgeable resource throughout the intake process. Travel to client locations to conduct claims review meetings. Travel within the region to engage and build relationships with producers, supporting business development and claims advocacy efforts.

Execute all other claims‑related duties as assigned. Claims Expertise: Be a trusted claims specialist in the marketplace; actively be present in the agency and the community with a focus on sharing claims knowledge and the impact of claims to a risk management program. Continue to drive for further education and knowledge; stay ahead of trends within coverage issues and claims technical skills.

Provide coverage and claims strategy advice to clients and internal team members. Educate team members and clients through intentional training and education platforms on claims, handling of claims and claims case studies. Claims Trending & Analysis: Monitor trending within claims activity via Claims Insights.

Remit claims related data such as loss statistics, key trends, cost reduction opportunities and other data in order to assist development of action plans to manage client's total cost of risk. Provide recommendations to the internal marketing, sales and service teams regarding trending coverage issues in a way to mitigate and further engage our clients in understanding the coverage available to enhance their risk management portfolio. Carrier Relationships: Build strong carrier relationships with adjusters and other claims team members in an effort to form a partnership that supports both client needs and carrier objectives.

Communicate effectively with carriers as issues arise and work toward resolving issues efficiently. We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills: Minimum 7+ years previous Property & Casualty claims experience preferred. Multi‑line carrier or brokerage claims experience required.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in related field preferred. Professional designations a plus. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.

Excellent analytical, project management and problem‑solving skills. An ability to influence and negotiate with all stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that instills good working relationships with customers, clients, colleagues and management.

Well organized, self‑motivated, willingness to learn, attention to detail. Computer proficiency with system of records, web‑based tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Established priorities and organizes time efficiently to ensure meeting or exceeding deadlines.
