Civil Engineer – Site & Land Development

Job Summary: We are looking for a Civil Engineer with 3+ years of hands-on site and land development experience to lead civil design projects from concept through construction. This role offers career growth and ownership of municipal, commercial, and residential projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support civil/site development projects from preliminary design through construction Prepare and review grading, drainage, utility, and site development plans Perform engineering calculations and ensure compliance with local and state regulations Coordinate with surveyors, site planners, contractors, and municipal agencies Respond to plan review comments and manage RFIs/ASIs during construction Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred) 3+ years of civil/site development, municipal, or transportation project experience Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD / AutoCAD Civil 3D Experience producing permit-ready grading, drainage, and utility plans Knowledge of municipal permitting and stormwater regulations Preferred: Experience at small/boutique civil or land development firms Familiarity with Illinois or similar state/local permitting processes Proficiency with HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, StormCAD, or comparable modeling tools Why Join Us: Take on meaningful project responsibility, grow your technical expertise, and collaborate with a skilled team on diverse civil engineering projects.
