Civil Engineer

We are presently recruiting for a Civil Engineer / Project Manager to manage road maintenance contracts with Kerry and Cork County Councils. You will come with a background in Civil Engineering, road servicing or quantity surveying and will be required to manage all aspects of day to day operations, costs, crews and materials for each project. A full, clean driving licence along with the ability to drive to various locations is mandatory in County Cork and Kerry.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day site operations
• Manage site resources (labor, materials, equipment)
• Coordinate sub-contractors and suppliers
• Ensure work aligns with project plans, specs, and schedules
• Monitor progress and update senior management
• Enforce health and safety protocols
• Conduct site inspections and address safety concerns
• Ensure quality standards are met and address issues
• Maximize productivity, minimize waste, and track costs
• Liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders
• Lead site meetings and collaborate on budgets and cost control

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of construction management experience, with road project focus
• Strong Proficiency in project management tools
• Full driving licence is essential

A company vehicle, pension, laptop, phone and salary based on experience and in the region of €60 - €65,000 is offered.
