Circa Resort & Casino JOB TITLE: Painter DEPARTMENT: Facilities JOB SUMMARY: Perform paint related duties property wide and have working knowledge of, but not limited to, paint, apply all forms of texture, prepare areas for painting, basic stucco and efface repairs, wallpaper repairs as needed. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maintain or apply various types of paint and paint related duties Tape and mud drywall surfaces Prep walls for paint and/or wallpaper Wallpaper repairs Furniture refinishing Work daily with personal hand tools and company owned power tools Complete work orders as assigned through computer-based program in a timely manner Effectively communicate details of work orders and follow up through to completion Notify Supervisors of parts and inventory needs Ensure customer satisfaction Follow lawful direction from Upper Management Understand and follow work and safety rules and procedures Interact well with others and be a positive influence on Team Member morale Responsible for adhering to all company and departmental policies and standards Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Working knowledge of paint, wallpaper, and drywall Must be able to tape and mud all drywall surfaces Must have the ability to identify and color match paint as needed Must be able to paint, apply all forms of texture and/or prepare areas for painting Must be able to perform basic stucco and efface repairs Basic wallpaper techniques Basic furniture refinishing and color matching Drywall taping and texturing techniques Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information Must be flexible, detail oriented, able to prioritize and able to multi-task effectively Must be able to work in a fast paced, changing environment with multiple distractions and meet timelines Must uphold appearance standards Ability to problem solve and strategize for better solutions EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School graduate or equivalent Must be 21 years old One (1) year experience, preferably in a Hotel/Casino environment PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area.
