We are conducting an executive search on behalf of a dynamically growing organization operating within a complex, project-driven environment and collaborating with international stakeholders. The company is currently undergoing a phase of continued growth and professionalization and is seeking an experienced, commercially minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function and support the organization through its next stage of development.
This is a high-impact leadership role combining strategic finance oversight with operational excellence and transformation initiatives. The CFO will act as a Management Board member, trusted partner for investors, and senior business leaders, contributing directly to long-term value creation, organizational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will assume full ownership of the finance agenda while also supporting international group reporting and consolidation processes under Polish GAAP and IFRS.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the entire finance function, including accounting, controlling, treasury, reporting, and financial planning & analysis
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of statutory and management reporting in accordance with Polish GAAP and IFRS standards
- Support international group reporting, consolidation, and cooperation with global finance structures
- Drive financial transparency, performance monitoring, and business partnering across complex operational and investment activities
- Develop and optimize controlling frameworks, profitability analysis, forecasting, and KPI reporting
- Actively support strategic decision-making through financial modelling, investment analysis, and business insights
- Lead financing processes and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and financial stakeholders
- Oversee liquidity management, financial risk, compliance, and internal controls
- Play an active role in transformation initiatives, including organizational optimisation and efficiency improvements
- Lead and develop cross-functional support teams, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture
- Hybrid working model combined with periodic on-site presence at the company’s headquarters
Candidate Profile
- Proven track record in senior finance leadership roles, ideally within complex, project-oriented or investment-intensive organizations
- Strong expertise across corporate finance, accounting, controlling, treasury, and financial reporting
- Solid experience within international group structures, including reporting and consolidation under Polish GAAP and IFRS
- Demonstrated exposure to private equity environments and cooperation with financial institutions and investors
- Hands-on and pragmatic leadership style, with the ability to combine strategic perspective and operational execution
- Experience in restructuring, cost optimisation, and organizational transformation projects will be considered a strong advantage
- Fluent English required due to daily interaction with international stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities, with high levels of integrity, ownership, and business acumen
- Qualified finance professional with membership in a recognized professional body (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CFA, Polish Registered Auditor or equivalent) - would be a strong asset
