Job Description
Our client, a well-established industrial services organization, is seeking a Chief Electrical Engineer to lead advanced electrical engineering efforts related to the design, application, refurbishment, and enhancement of rotating electrical equipment and power transmission systems. This role provides strategic and technical leadership across engineered solutions, aftermarket services, and operational support. Responsibilities Serve as the senior technical authority for electrical engineering, supporting both new applications and after-market initiatives with an emphasis on engineered solutions, design enhancements, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis.
Lead technical evaluation and failure analysis of electric motors, generators, and associated power equipment. Develop, review, and approve technical specifications, upgrades, and modifications for reverse-engineered components in aftermarket applications. Partner with customer-facing and operations teams to develop solutions for complex powertrain systems, including motors, couplings, gear drives, and control systems.
Guide the development and protection of proprietary engineering methods, designs, and intellectual property. Uphold high standards for safety, ethics, quality, and commercial integrity. Manage and mentor electrical engineering resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Establish and support standardized engineering practices, procedures, and long-term technical strategy across multiple locations. Requirements Bachelorâs degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution (required). Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced technical environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including talent development and cross-functional collaboration. Experience working with geographically distributed teams and supporting diverse operational and customer requirements. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical, operational, and customer stakeholders.
Structured, systems-oriented thinker with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities. Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical and performance data. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and experience working within ERP systems (Epicor or similar preferred).
Extensive hands-on experience in the design, manufacturing, testing, and application of AC and DC motors, motor-generator sets, generators, and associated control systems. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices (IEEE, NEMA, EASA, or equivalent). Minimum of 15 years of electrical engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
