Job Title Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York‑Presbyterian Hospital Job Overview Sign‑on bonus available. As a CRNA at NY‑Presbyterian Hospital, you will provide patient‑centered anesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures, including cardiac, vascular, neurosurgery, and pediatrics. You will administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for scheduled, emergency surgeries, and diagnostic procedures throughout the Columbia University Irving Medical Center campus.
Responsibilities Deliver anesthesia for all types of surgical procedures, including cardiac, vascular, neurosurgery, and pediatrics. Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for scheduled and emergency surgeries and diagnostic procedures. Work with surgical teams to support flexible scheduling, shared clinical decision‑making, and inspirational leadership.
Rotate between New York‑Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, and the community‑based Allen Hospital to care for adult, pediatric, and orthopedics patients. Provide one‑on‑one anesthesia instruction to students in Columbia University’s Nurse Anesthesia Program. Preferred Criteria At least 1 year of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP or DNAP) degree. Required Criteria Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
Current New York State RN license or willingness to obtain. BCLS Certification. ACLS Certification.
