CDL-A Delivery Truck Driver

McLane Company, a leader in the grocery and foodservice supply chain sector, is looking for experienced and dedicated CDL-A Delivery Truck Drivers to join our team. As a key player in our transportation operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to various service points across the United States. Utilize state-of-the-art trucks and technology to navigate and complete routes efficiently.

This position plays a crucial role in maintaining our excellent service standards and supporting the operations of over 80 distribution centers. Safely operate a tractor-trailer/truck to transport goods to clients across assigned routes. Load and unload cargo, ensuring all goods are secured before and during transit.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety. Adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws. Use on-board systems and navigational tools to plan and modify transport routes.

Complete documentation such as logs, mileage, or cargo and delivery records. Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams to update on trip progress. Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism during deliveries.

Proficient in operating a commercial heavy vehicle and knowledge of mechanical systems. Strong understanding of safety management and risk assessment in transport. Ability to navigate efficiently with GPS tools and handle route dynamics.

Excellent time management to meet delivery schedules and deadlines. Good physical condition and strength for loading and unloading duties. Effective communication and report-writing skills.
