At Köppen Executive, we are supporting an international industrial company in the search for a Category Specialist – Industrial Indirect Procurement (MRO).
This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional looking to take on a strategic role within a multinational industrial environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in defining and implementing a global procurement strategy for the Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) category, driving process standardisation, spend optimisation and the digital transformation of the procurement function.
This position offers significant international exposure and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the evolution of the company's global procurement model.
Your Mission
Lead the transformation of industrial indirect procurement by developing and implementing a global strategy that optimises costs, standardises categories, strengthens supplier management and drives the adoption of digital procurement solutions across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a corporate procurement strategy for indirect industrial categories, with a particular focus on Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO).
- Analyse spend and operational requirements across manufacturing sites to identify opportunities for standardisation and cost optimisation.
- Design and implement a global procurement policy that leverages the Group's purchasing power and creates economies of scale across international operations.
- Lead supplier negotiations at local, regional and international levels, establishing framework agreements and corporate contracts.
- Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of e-Procurement solutions, supporting the digitalisation of procurement processes.
- Partner with business units and key stakeholders to promote the adoption of a centralised procurement model, acting as a change agent across the organisation.
- Prepare spend analyses, procurement KPIs and reporting dashboards to support decision-making and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies while promoting procurement best practices throughout the organisation.
Candidate Profile
- University degree, preferably in Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in Indirect Procurement within an industrial environment.
- Solid knowledge of technical procurement categories, particularly Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO).
- Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing contracts at both national and international levels.
- Hands-on experience implementing or managing e-Procurement solutions and procurement digitalisation initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in spend analysis, reporting and performance measurement.
- A project-oriented mindset, with the ability to influence stakeholders, manage change and drive cross-functional initiatives.
- Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
