Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for a Career Counselor and University Admissions specialist. The role involves guiding students through academic and career decision-making, including course selection, university shortlisting, and understanding international study options. It also involves partnering with schools, colleges for our assessment tool and seminars.
Responsibilities include generating school and college leads, giving them demos ,conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, assessing student profiles, and recommending suitable programs and destinations. The role also covers supporting students with admissions processes, documentation, timelines, and basic guidance on visas and scholarships. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining accurate student records, collaborating with internal teams to improve counseling resources, conducting informational workshops or seminars, and responding promptly to student and parent queries.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Career Counseling, Career Development, and Career Management to guide students through short- and long-term planning.
- Experience in Student Counseling, including handling diverse student backgrounds and educational goals with empathy and professionalism.
- Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain complex processes clearly and build trust with students and families.
- Negotiation skills to convince school managements and principals and parents to purchase our career discovery and assessment tool Pathlynks
- Knowledge of university admissions processes, international education systems, scholarships, and visa-related requirements.
- Ability to analyze academic profiles, aptitude, and interests to recommend appropriate courses and institutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Counseling, Human Resources, or a related field; a counseling certification is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple student cases and application timelines.
- Comfort with using digital tools and platforms, including AI-driven systems, CRM software, and virtual communication tools.
- Prior experience in education consulting, university admissions, or career guidance is preferred.
