Capture Analyst (Potsdam)

Title: Capture Analyst (Federal & Defense) Salary Range : $70K–$110K + Bonus (based on wins) Reports To: CEO or Capture Manager Location: Potsdam, NY Candidates must be a United States Citizen to apply due to our line of business. Position Summary: The Capture Analyst supports the executive team and capture managers by conducting market research, analyzing competitive landscapes, tracking opportunities, and preparing win strategies for targeted programs. This role is critical to scaling revenue rapidly in high-growth defense technology markets.

Key Responsibilities: Research target customers, contract vehicles, funding priorities, track relevant solicitations, OTAs, and contract vehicles. Develop capture plans with timelines, milestones, and decision points. Develop competitor and teaming partner profiles.

Analyze competitor strengths/weaknesses. Coordinate proposal input from technical, operations, and finance teams. Support partner identification and teaming agreement drafting.

Monitor SAM.gov, GovWin, and OTA consortium portals for opportunities. Build and maintain capture plans in CRM including contacts, and meeting notes. Support proposal team with technical and customer insights.

Track past performance relevancy for proposals. Qualifications/Competencies: Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements. Bachelor’s degree (Business, Political Science, Literature, Engineering preferred). 3+ years in defense business development, contracting, or capture support.

Familiarity with FPDS, SAM.gov, and GovWin. Strong research and writing skills. Ability to work in a high-tempo, results-driven environment.

Security clearance (Secret or ability to obtain) preferred. Familiarity with SBIR, OTAs, and IDIQs. Performance Metrics: Number of qualified opportunities identified.

Percentage of opportunities successfully advanced to proposal stage. Win rate of supported proposals.
