CAE Engineer

Position Summary: CAE Engineer - Process Simulation (Bending, Forming, Cutting) We are looking for a skilled CAE Engineer specialising in Process Simulation to join our engineering team at Shape India. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing simulation models to analyse and optimise manufacturing processes, supporting product development from concept through to production. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality, efficiency, and innovation across our engineering workflows.

Essential position functions include, but are not limited to, the following: Develop and execute CAE simulation models for manufacturing and forming processes Analyse simulation results and provide actionable recommendations to design and process teams Collaborate with tooling, design, and manufacturing teams to validate processes pre-production Identify failure modes and propose design or process modifications Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to stakeholders Support continuous improvement initiatives using simulation-driven insights Maintain simulation databases, models, and documentation in line with standards Stay current with advancements in simulation tools, methodologies, and industry best practices Position Skills and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering 5-8 years of hands-on experience in LS DYNA & Altair Hyperworks Experience with Static, Quasi Static and Impact Load Cases Experience of Automotive Components Strong understanding of FEA fundamentals and manufacturing processes Experience with manufacturing process simulations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and documentation abilities Must display leadership capabilities of innovation, people development, character, strategy and results. Must display fundamental capabilities of teamwork, problem solving, customer focus, communication and respect.
