Business Systems Analyst (Application support) Client: Metro Vancouver’s regional transportation authority Duration: 6-month contract (Possible extension/Conversion to perm) Location: New Westminster, Hybrid 2-3 days a week with Wednesday being mandatory On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a six month contract. Candidates must be located in the lower mainland. Overview Position Summary We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support enterprise operations and business transformation initiatives through application support, system enhancements, and ongoing technical services.

This role will work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and maintain enterprise applications throughout their lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Solution Delivery Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders Identify opportunities for system improvements, automation, and process enhancements Assess impacts across applications, integrations, and business processes Recommend and implement solutions aligned with enterprise standards and architecture Collaborate with technical teams on application changes and implementations Application Support & Maintenance Provide ongoing support and maintenance for enterprise applications Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis Respond to escalated support requests and resolve issues within service-level expectations Recommend and implement solutions to reduce recurring system issues Support application upgrades, patches, and deployments Technical Coordination & Testing Coordinate development, test, and production environments Develop test plans and testing criteria Support and lead user acceptance testing activities Automate testing processes where feasible Ensure adherence to SDLC and change management practices Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration Work closely with business users, technical teams, and third-party vendors Deliver demonstrations, training sessions, and knowledge transfer Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and support procedures Ensure systems continue meeting business needs over time Required Qualifications Diploma or degree in: Computer Science Software Engineering Information Technology Related discipline Minimum 3 years of experience supporting enterprise applications within an IT environment Experience with: Business and systems analysis Requirements gathering Application support and troubleshooting SDLC methodologies IT service management frameworks (ITIL, Lean, DevOps, Modern Service Management) Working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Nice to Have Experience supporting Microsoft 365 , including: SharePoint Teams OneDrive Experience with Microsoft Power Platform , including: Power Apps Power Automate
