What You Will Do The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the functional design, configuration, and ongoing improvement of the ITSM platform, translating business needs into governed, practical solutions for academic and operational computing environments.

The role provides direct support to instructors, staff, and students in both academic simulation environments and operational services. This position ensures the reliable and sustainable operation of specialized teaching environments while aligning with institutional standards under direction of the Information Technology Solutions team. Reporting to the Enterprise Applications Manager, the role strengthens and standardizes technical support for teaching and learning systems, improving service consistency, resilience, and stability.

What You Will Bring Diploma in Information Technology, Business Analysis, or Business Administration; a combination of education and experience may be considered Strong working knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) concepts, including Incident, Request, Change, Problem, and Knowledge Management, Service Catalog design and lifecycle management, Intake, triage, prioritization, and escalation models Demonstrated ability to log, track, and resolve issues using an ITSM system and follow defined support processes and escalation paths Ability to design and refine ticket workflows, forms, fields, and intake questionnaires, queues, routing rules, and notifications Demonstrates a service‑focused mindset with empathy for student and instructor needs Contributes to technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles Follows security practices related to accounts, data, and academic systems Ability to assess operational impact of workflow changes and system configuration decisions, including gathering and validating requirements, analyzing data and applying structured problem‑solving Strong experience in gathering and analyzing data, comparing alternative approaches, and applying structured evaluation methods to determine optimal solutions Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects from initial planning through to full implementation, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational objectives ITIL Certification (v3 or above) Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement Nice to Have TeamDynamix Platform experience Experience developing and delivering how‑to guides or end‑user training Knowledge of post‑secondary education operations an asset Knowledge of AI‑related data, security, and privacy practices Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $64,014 – $90,272 per annum Generous Paid Vacation: full‑time employees accrue a minimum of 15 days per year, increasing to 30 days with service; full‑time instructors accrue 44 days per year December Break: employees receive time off with pay during the period between Boxing Day and New Year's Day Defined Benefits Pension Plan: Employer and Employee contributions to future retirement benefits Comprehensive Benefits: Health and Group Life insurance, Long‑Term Disability, employee & family assistance program, mental health support up to $1,000, and a robust Health Care Spending Account Inclusive Leave Programs: Wellness, maternity, adoptive, and parental leave, as well as ceremonial, cultural, religious and spiritual leave Growth and Recognition: Professional development, professional licensing and fees coverage, and severance pay on retirement Conditions of Employment Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends This position may be required to travel Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses Land Acknowledgements RRC Polytech campuses are located on the lands of the Anishinaabeg, Ininiwak, Anishininwak, Dakota Oyate, and DenĂ©suline, and the National Homeland of the Red River MĂ©tis.
