Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Business and Project Support Manager working within Reablement Services. Reablement Services are part of Cardiff Councils Independent Living Services (ILS) who work in partnership with vulnerable adults to support them to live independently at home and connected to their communities. Reablement Services comprises of several services which includes; The Community Resource Team (CRT) and Disabled Facility Services (DFS).

CRT is a joint service provided by Cardiff Council and Cardiff and Vale University Health Board that aims to support adults, through therapy and/ or home care, to recover or maintain their ability to live independently at home. The service aims to encourage and support people to learn or re-learn skills necessary for daily living, following a period of illness or after a stay in hospital. DFS supports citizens to live safely and independently at home by delivering adaptations (e.g., ramps, stairlifts, accessible bathrooms) following the assessed identified need by an Occupational Therapist.

Reablement Services provide services that assists citizens to have the confidence and support to do things independently. About the job We are looking for an experienced and motivated Business and Project Support Manager to drive forward service transformation, support delivery of key projects and ensure that our services are efficient, compliant and responsive to the needs of citizens within Reablement Services. You will provide leadership across business support and project management functions, working across Reablement Services, the Community Resource Team (CRT), and the Disabled Facilities Service (DFS) to deliver innovative, data driven technological improvements.

What We Are Looking For From You We are looking for someone who has experience of managing projects and delivering service improvements. The successful candidate needs to be able to work confidently with data, performance information and reporting. We are looking for the successful candidate to have good communication skills meaning they are able to work collaboratively across services and with partner agencies along with strong negotiation and influencing skills.

We also need the individual to have a sound understanding of information technology and how this can assist with service improvements. Additional Information This post is temporary until 31st July 2027. Internal candidates who wish to apply for this position on a secondment basis must obtain approval prior to application using Form SEC1 (4.C.081); requests may only be approved by the relevant Director/ Assistant Director/ Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools based staff the Headteacher/Governing Body.
