Business Operations Manager

Temporary 12 month Contract | Windsor, Ontario

The Windsor Club is seeking an experienced and highly organized Business Operations Manager to join our leadership team on a temporary contract.

Established in 1903, The Windsor Club is Windsor-Essex’s oldest private members’ club, providing exceptional dining, events and hospitality from our distinctive waterfront location in Windsor’s historic Distillery District.

Reporting to the Board of Directors and working collaboratively with the Executive Chef and Front of House & Events Manager, the Business Operations Manager is responsible for the Club’s financial administration, business systems, membership administration, human resources processes and compliance infrastructure.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a professional who combines strong financial and administrative capabilities with sound judgment, attention to detail and a collaborative approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, cash flow, financial records and reporting

• Monitor budgets, forecasts, financial performance and variances

• Prepare accurate and timely financial information for the Board of Directors

• Manage membership administration, billing, records and reporting

• Administer payroll, employee records, HR systems and related documentation

• Maintain HR policies and support effective onboarding and performance-management processes

• Coordinate insurance, contracts, WSIB, health and safety and regulatory documentation

• Maintain effective internal controls and administrative processes

• Oversee business systems and administrative vendors

• Identify operational, financial or compliance risks and escalate issues appropriately

• Work collaboratively with the Club’s culinary and front-of-house leadership teams

Those responsibilities reflect the actual mandate, including AP/AR, cash flow, budgets, Board reporting, membership administration, HR/payroll, compliance, insurance/contracts and internal controls.


What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in business administration, finance, accounting or operations

• Demonstrated financial literacy and comfort working with budgets and financial reporting

• Experience with payroll, HR administration and business systems

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Sound judgment, discretion and professionalism

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with operational leaders and a volunteer Board of Directors

• Strong proficiency with contemporary business technology and Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365

• Experience in hospitality, private clubs, professional services or a member-based organization would be considered an asset


Work Schedule & Compensation

This is a part-time temporary position of approximately 25–30 hours per week, primarily scheduled Monday through Thursday. Some flexibility may be required from time to time based on Club operations and business needs.

Compensation is expected to be in the range of $30–$35 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
