We are seeking a dynamic Business Growth Leader and Area Operations Manager to join our team. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be instrumental in driving our organic growth strategy across our integrated water business.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced water professional seeking to elevate their career with one of the top-tier engineering consulting firms in the country. You will contribute to shaping Arcadis' expanding influence across your market. Reporting to the Southeast Resilience Water Area Leader, you will lead our highly regarded team, ensuring the successful execution of our diverse project portfolio while advancing our growth strategy in the Southeast, specifically in the water sector.
You will collaborate closely with fellow Area Managers, Client Account Leads, Project Managers, Practice Directors, Corporate Services, and staff across various business units to achieve regional goals. In this role, your key responsibilities will include: Driving the water business growth strategy across key markets, focusing on enhancing client engagement and expanding our project portfolio with local municipalities. Leading and managing ongoing projects in water, wastewater, and stormwater services, ensuring adherence to operational goals such as revenue, profitability, and quality standards.
Supporting hiring, onboarding, staff development, performance management, and team building initiatives. Building strong client relationships and leveraging them to foster business development opportunities. Providing leadership and technical guidance on infrastructure projects, including design-build opportunities, with assistance from the national design-build team.
Engaging in travel for site visits, client meetings, safety audits, and conferences as needed (up to 30%). Required qualifications include: A minimum of 15 years of experience in water, wastewater, or stormwater project management and business operations. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
A P.E. License or the capability to obtain it within 6 months. Key attributes that will contribute to your success: Proven client relationship management skills with a track record of exceeding client expectations.
Robust project management experience in various municipal water projects. Strong leadership and mentoring abilities. Excellent technical skills paired with exceptional written and verbal communication.
Preferred qualifications include: A Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, such as an MBA. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. At least 20 years of experience in relevant fields.
