Business Development Manager – Lighting Solutions Location Southwest UK – (Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Plymouth, Devon, Cornwall & Surrounding regions) Salary - £55,000 - £60,000 Base + Commission + Car/Allowance + Pension/Life + Benefits Are you ready to illuminate your career with a market-leading lighting company? We’re looking for a driven and commercially astute Business Development Manager to spearhead growth across the company’s innovative lighting portfolio within the Southwest regions of the UK This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of cutting-edge lighting solutions. The Role As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth.

You’ll work closely with key stakeholders across sectors including commercial, residential, and industrial projects. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities within the lighting sector Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and specifiers Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer experience Build and maintain strong relationships with lighting designers, M&E consultants, and architects Deliver engaging presentations and CPD sessions to promote lighting solutions Secure product specifications and convert opportunities into successful sales Provide both technical and commercial support to clients Manage projects from initial specification through to completion Maintain accurate sales pipeline and reporting via CRM systems Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets What We’re Looking For Experience within the lighting industry or a related sector Understanding of the specification sales process Experience working with M&E consultants, architects, and/or contractors Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Strong commercial awareness and negotiation ability Self-motivated with effective organisational skills Ability to understand and present technical solutions (full training provided) 4+ years’ experience in lighting or related specification sales Established network of consultants, architects, and contractors Proven track record of securing specifications and delivering projects Ability to manage key accounts and work autonomously Experience using CRM systems Full UK driving licence
