Business Development Manager - Vancouver, BC Canada Car Keys Express is a growing automotive services company expanding nationally. This role supports our rapid growth through sales and business development. Compensation $108,000–$128,250 CAD .
Top performers typically earn $135,000–$162,000 CAD+ . The compensation plan is uncapped. Purpose Achieve sales targets by expanding the customer base of car dealerships, rental facilities, fleets, and other high‑volume key replacement accounts.
Summary Business Development Sales Manager (BDM) will apply sales expertise to increase CKE market share by developing new accounts within their territory. The BDM will use provided sales tools and personal best practices to identify and prospect growth areas. Coordination with the Regional Sales Manager, Account Managers, and Inside Sales team will identify leads and business opportunities.
Duties (Critical to Success) Present Car Keys Express to dealerships, fleet managers, and rental facilities. Use the in‑house CRM to prospect for new business. Log sales entries for every call, email, stop, and presentation.
Plan and coordinate travel to maximize in‑person presentations daily. Coordinate with RSM and inside sales to ensure closure of committed targets in a timely manner. Participate in bi‑weekly sales meetings (via Zoom).
Complete all onboarding and ongoing training. Learn CKE selling points to ensure a consistent message across all regions. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Critical) Confident, positive, self‑motivated sales professional.
Ability to efficiently move leads through the sales funnel to a close. Highly professional and knowledgeable, able to represent the CKE brand effectively. Business acumen.
Strong situational awareness in unique sales presentation settings. Ability to pre‑plan cold calls to maximize effectiveness. Clear oral and written communication skills.
Team‑orientated, maintaining a positive culture with all employees. Travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight travel for 2‑week periods (alternating one week on, one week off). Strong prioritization and organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
Deliverables 50 in‑person sales stops per week (40 at prospective customers). Minimum of 5 new accounts ("wins") per week. Meet or exceed established sales quotas.
Daily touch base with assigned RSM. Weekly touch base with Territory manager / Assistant Territory Managers. Spend 10 days per month making sales stops outside the home territory.
Travel Home territory is defined as the assigned geographic area. The role requires traveling beyond the home territory as specified. Job Specifications / Qualifications 5–8+ years of sales experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
Proof of success in outside sales, business development, and cold calling. Expertise in developing new accounts. Strong knowledge of B2B sales processes.
