TYPE OF ROLE : Individual Contributor Role BU/ DIVISION : Professional Lighting JOB PURPOSE: To lead and manage business development initiatives in the solar energy sector for West India KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead technical sales activities for solar EPC projects (Rooftop, Ground Mount, OA & Utility) Understand client requirements and prepare technical & techno-commercial proposals Coordinate with Design, SCM, Finance, Legal & Projects teams for bid preparation Preparation of BOQ, cost estimates, pricing strategy, and margin analysis Preparation & submission of tenders, RFPs, EOIs, and RFQs Conduct technical presentations and discussions with clients, consultants & developers Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client negotiations Support contract finalization, scope freeze, and handover to execution team Maintain sales pipeline, MIS reports, and forecasting Track market trends, policy changes, and competitor movements in the solar sector Build and maintain long-term relationships with developers, corporates, consultants, and government bodies EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: B.E/ B.Tech (Electrical/ Mechanical/ Energy/ Instrumentation) or MBA/ PGDM (Marketing) WORK EXPERIENCE: 5 to 10 years of experience in Technical Sales / Pre-Sales / Business Development in the Solar EPC / Renewable Energy sector
