Job Title: Business Development Coordinator

Business Function: Sales (Early Payment Division)

Reporting To: Business Development Director

Job Location: Birmingham Office (currently operating hybrid 2 days per week in the office)

Salary: Dependent on experience, plus bonus/commission

Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time (however part time applications may be considered)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Early Payment sales pipeline across multiple salespeople.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and support pipeline reporting.
  • Track sales activity within HubSpot and Dynamics CRM.
  • Identify stalled opportunities and drive next steps.
  • Book customer meetings and coordinate diaries.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, quotations and contracts.
  • Produce meeting agendas and follow-up actions.
  • Support contract execution, onboarding and renewals.
  • Research new target markets, including Housing Associations.
  • Work with Marketing on campaigns, events and lead generation.
  • Identify partners and support new market development.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
  • Build relationships with prospective customers.
  • Develop knowledge of Local Government procurement and support customer opportunities.

The Team

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the continued growth of Oxygen Finance’s Early Payment business.Due to continued growth within our Early Payment division, we are looking for an organised and commercially minded professional to provide additional capacity within our Sales team, primarily supporting the Business Development function and helping to drive further growth across both existing and emerging markets.Working alongside an experienced team of sales professionals, you will become the operational hub of the sales function, helping to ensure opportunities continue to progress smoothly and nothing falls through the gaps.Alongside supporting Oxygen’s established Local Government market, you will help identify and develop opportunities within adjacent sectors such as Housing Associations, researching prospects and generating new opportunities.This role is designed as a development opportunity for someone with ambition. Initially focused on coordination, sales support and business development activity, it offers a pathway into more senior Business Development positions over time.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

You are able to demonstrate and possess the following attributes:

Essential

  • Experience using CRM systems, preferably HubSpot or Dynamics
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience supporting sales or business development teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

  • Experience supporting a B2B sales team
  • Experience within SaaS, fintech or public sector sales
  • Knowledge of Local Government or wider Public Sector procurement
  • Experience working with Marketing on lead generation campaigns
  • Experience managing contracts, customer onboarding or renewals
  • Existing public sector relationships within Finance or Procurement
