To know more about Lear please visit our career site: www.lear.com Job Description Job Title: Business Analytics Function: Business Analyst Report to: Director, Data Strategy & Analytics Location: Bhosari, Pune Position Focus: As a Business Analyst / Use Case Lead at Lear, you will play a pivotal role in bridging business needs with technical solutions within the Palantir Foundry platform. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into actionable data engineering and application development tasks, validating datasets, and supporting the development of intuitive applications using Foundry’s tools.
Your understanding of automotive business processes and ability to drive cross-functional collaboration will be key to delivering impactful, data-driven outcomes. If you thrive in a dynamic, data-centric environment, this role is for you! Education: Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) from a reputed institution.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in business analytics, data analytics, or a similar role. Strong understanding of automotive business processes and operational flows.
Proven ability to translate business needs into technical specifications. Experience with Palantir Foundry, including Ontology, Workshop, Contour, and Quiver. Familiarity with project tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and data visualization platforms.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Exposure to web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus. Job Specific Comments: Responsibilities: Business Requirement Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
Translate business needs into structured specifications for process flows, data pipelines, Ontology models, and Workshop applications. Ensure alignment between business logic and technical implementation. Project Tracking and Execution: Manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables for data and application projects.
Use collaborative tools to track progress and resolve blockers. Ensure alignment with program and product delivery phases. Dataset Validation and Business Coordination: Coordinate with business users and data engineers to validate datasets.
Facilitate data walkthroughs and feedback sessions to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Support data profiling and quality checks. Application Development Support (Workshop): Collaborate with developers to design and test user-centric applications using Foundry’s Workshop.
Configure Ontology objects, action types, and workflows to support operational decision-making. Automotive Process Alignment: Apply domain knowledge of automotive operations (e.g., supply chain, manufacturing, quality, warranty) to ensure solutions reflect real-world business flows. Insight Generation and Visualization: Use Foundry tools such as Contour and Quiver to explore data and extract actionable insights.
Present findings through dashboards and narratives to support strategic decisions. Change Management and User Enablement: Support user onboarding and training for new applications and workflows. Gather feedback and iterate on features to drive adoption and usability.
Governance, Documentation, and Compliance: Ensure documentation aligns with internal governance frameworks such as ITPM and Sarbanes-Oxley. Collaborate with IT and data governance teams to uphold data privacy and security standards. Motivates the immediate reporting staff for better performance and effective service and encourage team spirit.
Coordinates with the senior and junior management of other departments as well, as every department in the organization is directly or indirectly associated with the finance department.
