Job Description

A leading financial institution is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the team responsible for its xVA application within Financial Markets. This is a hands‑on role at the intersection of business and technology; you will work directly with a team of developers on one side and trading desks and business users on the other, ensuring change is delivered accurately, quickly, and with a clear understanding of the underlying xVA domain.

It’s a fast‑moving environment with real delivery pressure, so we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring both technical fluency and strong stakeholder skills.

What you’ll do

  • Act as the interface between developers, trading desks, and business stakeholders, translating business needs into clear, developer‑ready requirements.
  • Own the change lifecycle for the xVA application end to end: gathering and refining requirements, supporting testing and UAT, and managing releases and sign‑offs.
  • Represent the voice of the business to the development team, and explain the "what" so engineers can determine the "how."
  • Lead and participate in refinement and solution‑design sessions, structuring and simplifying complex problems across systems and processes.
  • Produce impact assessments, release reports, and user sign‑offs, keeping delivery on track and well documented.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across trading, sales, operations, and technology.

What you bring

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst (or functional analyst / product owner) within Financial Markets, capital markets, or a comparable banking environment.
  • Solid domain knowledge of xVA (CVA/DVA/FVA or related valuation adjustments) and the application landscape around it.
  • Demonstrable change‑management experience: requirements gathering, testing, and release management.
  • A completed Master’s degree.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills in English, comfortable working across different functions and seniority levels.
  • A pragmatic, problem‑solving mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast‑changing, time‑pressed environment.

Nice to have

  • Python skills, to contribute directly to analysis.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum.
  • Prior experience as a Product Owner.
