We want you to be a part of our team, from Warsaw, as a Business Analyst.
WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY?
- Models and documents value chain/streams, business processes, roles, capabilities and data.
- Elicits and analyses business needs, requirements and user stories
- Supports business experts and product owners during definition of requirements and software development
- Maintains and tracks requirements/user stories in systems lifecycle
- Transfers business, users and technical needs into business requirements specifications
- Maps business goals, project benefits, priorities, components, system features- Analyses available systems
- Supports identification of options for potential solutions
- Supports preparation of business cases and feasibility studies
- Contributes to systems design, testing, quality assurance, change management
- Responsible for designing, validating, and testing business processes for achieving business process excellence
- Responsible for taking a holistic approach in the planning and managing of a programs for continuous improvements of business processes
- Responsible for coaching Frontex staff on upcoming changes, ensuring that a plan is in place to teach new skills and/or process changes
- Collaborates with owners of end-to-end processes to continually seek out process improvements
- Identifies opportunities for business process improvement leading to improved customer service, lower costs, or higher revenue (effectiveness and efficiency gains)
- Communicates project objectives, business case, requirements, and scope to all stakeholders, in order to better provide rapid responses to business needs
- Quantitatively analyses business processes, performing cost-benefit and what-if analysis
- Plans organizational changes process
- Implements performance monitoring systems for business processes
- Supports business users in developing strategic and tactical plans (e.g. sector strategies, implementation plans etc.)
- Supports definition of transition roadmaps for business architectures
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
The consultant must demonstrate experience in:
- Has gone through at least one complete software solution lifecycle.
- Has knowledge of business process modelling using BPMN notation.
- Has experience in requirements and user story elicitation and analysis.
- Is familiar with analysis and modelling notations such as UML, including capability diagrams, activity diagrams, state diagrams, and logical data models.
- Is proficient in modelling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, ARIS Architect, or equivalent tools.
- Demonstrates excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Is able to create, maintain, and manage analytical and project documentation effectively.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills.
- Has experience as a Business Analyst in projects involving the analysis, design, implementation, and deployment of ICT solutions that were part of, integrated with, or queried the Schengen Information System (SIS).
- Has experience as a Business Analyst in projects involving ICT solutions supporting at least one of the following:
- Scanning fingerprints of at least two fingers using NIST format.
- Scanning documents containing a Machine Readable Zone (MRZ), such as passports, national IDs, driving licences, visa stickers, or residence permits.
- Scanning biometric documents containing RFID chip data, such as passports or national identity cards.
- Has knowledge and/or experience in Data Privacy, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and Information Security Risk Assessments in the environment of EU Institutions.
- Understands the challenges and methods associated with conducting effective privacy, data protection, and information security risk analyses.
At least 2 certifications among:
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent
- Certified UML Professional certificate at foundation level or BPM 2 fundamental level or equivalent
- or equivalent certifications recognized internationally (subject to acceptance as a valid credential by the Contracting Authority)
