Business Analyst

Business Analyst — Contract Outside IR35 £400-500/Day 6 Month Contract Hybrid London We're recruiting on behalf of a large, ambitious global retailer on an exciting technology transformation journey. You'll embed within their Strategy & Technology Delivery team, working alongside Programme Managers in a multi-disciplinary squad focused on delivering market-leading customer experiences. Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, you'll bridge business strategy and technical delivery across their international operations — with frequent exposure to senior stakeholders, third-party suppliers, franchise partners and shop teams globally.

What you'll be doing Working with stakeholders to define system needs, uncover underlying business problems, and shape solutions. Organising, specifying and modelling business requirements — ensuring documentation is clear and accessible at all levels. Facilitating workshops to map current and future state processes, identifying inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.

Creating detailed process diagrams covering inputs, outputs, data flows and system interactions, validated through stakeholder walkthroughs. Supporting benefits case definition, ROI modelling and solution option assessment with delivery partners. Liaising with digital and engineering teams throughout the full systems development life cycle.

Applying quantitative and qualitative analysis to measure process effectiveness and propose actionable improvements. Supporting implementation, testing, change management, user training and early life support. Experience 5+ years of business analysis experience within retail or a similarly complex multi-site environment.

Strong BPMN 2.0 knowledge with proven experience producing standardised process diagrams. Full project lifecycle experience including business change management. Exposure to multi-country requirements and Enterprise Planning systems across Food, Operations, HR & Finance.

Familiarity with data modelling and AI concepts, technologies and applications. Excellent communication and influencing skills across stakeholders, delivery partners and franchise partners. Comfortable working independently, thinking strategically and hitting the ground running.
