Business Analyst

Masentó are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a consultancy supporting a major London market insurance client at the discovery phase of a new technology platform implementation. This is a critical, ground-floor role shaping requirements, processes, and stakeholder alignment before the build begins.

Thids is a 6 month contract outside ir35.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support discovery activities for a new commercial/insurance technology platform implementation
• Elicit, document, and validate business requirements across underwriting, claims, and related functions
• Manage relationships with senior and cross-functional stakeholders, translating business needs into clear technical and functional requirements
• Support end-to-end delivery through subsequent implementation phases (design, build, test, deployment)
• Identify process gaps, risks, and dependencies, and propose pragmatic solutions
• Produce high-quality documentation: process maps, requirements specifications, user stories, and gap analyses
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and technical teams to ensure solution alignment with business objectives

Essential Experience

• 5–7 years' experience as a Business Analyst within London market insurance
• Proven experience with commercial insurance technology programmes, e.g. claims platforms, underwriting platforms
• Demonstrable end-to-end implementation experience (discovery through to go-live)
• Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging at all levels including senior leadership
• Experience working within structured project/programme delivery environments (Agile and/or Waterfall)
