Business Analyst

Job Title: Business Analyst for Lab in the Loop Foundation Location: Foster City, CA (Onsite) Key Responsibilities: Partner closely with laboratory scientists and research stakeholders to understand current lab workflows, pain points, and desired future state capabilities. Lead structured requirements elicitation activities (interviews, workshops, process walkthroughs) and translate findings into clear, actionable business requirements. Develop and maintain key artifacts such as: Business requirements documents (BRDs) Process flows and use cases Functional requirements and acceptance criteria Collaborate with the project manager to liaison between business users and IT delivery teams (data engineering, platform, and solution architecture).

Act as a liaison between business users and IT delivery teams (data engineering, platform, and solution architecture). Validate proposed solutions with end users to ensure alignment with scientific workflows and research objectives. Participate in project governance forums and working sessions as needed.

Collaborate with project manager to support change management and user adoption by helping define training needs and ensuring requirements reflect realworld lab usage. Required Qualifications: 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on complex technology or data driven projects. Demonstrated experience working with laboratory scientists, research teams, or lab informatics systems.

Experience in biopharma, life sciences, or scientific R&D environments. Strong ability to translate scientific or operational needs into structured requirements without prescribing technical solutions. Excellent communication and facilitation skills; comfortable working across business, scientific, and IT audiences.
