Business Analyst – Data & AI Enablement Program

  • Pay Rate: $66.42hour, depending on experience
  • Contract Length: 12 Months
  • Location: Calgary, Alberta

Raise is currently hiring a Business Analyst – Data & AI Enablement Program on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client,is a major Canadian airline.

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The Business Analyst to partner closely with the Program Manager in establishing and operationalizing core governance, planning, intake, reporting, and value realization capabilities for our clients multi-year Data & AI Enablement Program.This is a high-impact, foundational role on a new strategic enterprise initiative. The initial focus centers on standing up the operating mechanisms required to manage a complex portfolio—moving beyond traditional technical requirements documentation to focus heavily on investment governance, business case development, financial tracking, benefits realization, and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Operating Mechanism Setup: Help create structure where processes are still being defined, establishing clear portfolio management frameworks for a strategic enterprise program.
  • Value Realization & Intake: Document and operationalize a value realization framework alongside a robust demand intake mechanism.
  • Financial & Investment Planning: Support funding request processes, annual/multi-year planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Business Case Development: Build compelling business cases supporting data and AI investments.
  • Benefits Tracking: Track program benefits, establish KPIs, and ensure accountability against strategic outcomes.
  • Executive Reporting: Develop executive-level presentations, dashboards, and reporting packages for senior leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively across Business, Technology, Finance, Risk, and senior leadership teams.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in Business Analysis, Program Analysis, PMO (Portfolio/Program Management Office), or Strategy/Transformation roles.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large, cross-functional enterprise initiatives.
  • Proven background in Enterprise program or portfolio management (PMO/PgMO) support.
  • Hands-on experience with business case development and investment planning.
  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience developing executive reporting and high-impact presentation materials.
  • Proven track record in process design, documentation, and governance framework development.
  • Experience with benefits realization and KPI tracking.
  • Background working within Data, Analytics, AI, Digital Transformation, or Enterprise Technology programs.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Exposure to formal change management methodologies.
  • Exceptional written communication skills tailored for executive audiences.

Soft Skills & Competencies

  • Highly organized, capable of bringing clarity and framework to ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate complex organizational landscapes across both business and technology arms.
  • Comfortable presenting to and working directly with senior leaders, Finance, Technology, and Risk stakeholders.

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Agile/Scrum certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP, CSM)
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
  • Prosci Change Management Certification (Nice-to-have)
