Building Services Manager | Cardiff Tier 1 Main Contractor | Landmark Commercial Development Salter Grange is partnering with a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor to recruit an experienced Building Services Manager for a flagship commercial redevelopment in Cardiff city centre. This landmark 10-storey project will deliver a high-specification Category B fit-out incorporating smart building technology, sustainability-focused design, and ambitious ESG targets, targeting BREEAM Excellent certification. This is an excellent opportunity to lead the Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) delivery on a high-profile project, taking responsibility from installation through commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all on-site MEP activities throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate specialist subcontractors to ensure programme, quality, and safety targets are achieved. Oversee M&E design development, technical coordination, and design changes.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, building regulations, and sustainability requirements. Manage commissioning, testing, and project handover activities. Work closely with commercial, design, and delivery teams to manage risk, quality, and performance.
Lead technical meetings with consultants, client representatives, and key stakeholders. Requirements Proven experience as a Building Services Manager, Senior M&E Manager, or similar on major commercial or high-rise developments. Strong track record delivering large-scale MEP packages (£15m+ preferred).
Excellent leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Knowledge of sustainable building systems and BREEAM-led projects. HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
