What you'll be doing
You'll be the go-to person for keeping our building in top shape and our residents happy. A typical day could include:
- Handling maintenance requests and repairs across apartments and shared spaces.
- Carrying out general repairs, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
- Supporting preventative maintenance to keep everything running smoothly.
- Ensuring the building looks sharp, from lighting and fixtures to presentation standards.
- Record maintenance tasks and safety checks in our system to help keep things safe, organized, and on track
- Coordinating contractors and making sure work is done safely and to a high standard.
- Lending a hand to residents with a friendly, can-do attitude.
- Taking part in a shared on-call roster for after-hours support when needed.
What you bring
You don't need decades of experience or to be a qualified tradie, just practical know-how, handy with the tools, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
- Some experience in maintenance, facilities or trades (plumbing, carpentry, general handyman, electrical, HVAC, painting, etc.)
- A trade qualification or related experience is a bonus, not a must.
- Handy with tools, tech, and teamwork.
- A good understanding of safety basics (manual handling, chemicals, etc.)
- Able to lift up to 12 kg, climb ladders, and stay active throughout the day.
- Great communicator and friendly with both residents and teammates.
- Able to pass a National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check.
