Building Maintenance Technician

Avondale Foods is a leading food processing company of Fresh and Chilled products supplying leading retail businesses such as Marks & Spencer, Morrisons and Waitrose in the UK.

The Engineering/Maintenance Department provide reactive maintenance, preventative maintenance, worklist, site services management and project delivery resources to the business.

This role contributes to the provision of these essential services.

What you will do;

• General worklist tasks – keeping factory fabrication to an audit ready standard including joinery and wall panel work, flooring repairs, drainage, doors and locks/keys.
• Collect storm water samples.
• Work on engineering projects (major CAPEX and smaller types).
• Change AHUs and storm water interceptor filters.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace while performing tasks.
• Complete work records for all tasks.
• Work in a safe and responsible manner in compliance with company food Safety and H&S policies and procedures.
• To be/become knowledgeable in all aspects of factory fabrication.
• Multi-skilled building work knowledge/competence (joinery, sheet metalwork, mechanical, use of power tools/accessories etc).
• Ability to use initiative to work independently or as part of a team to achieve results.
