Job Description
Job Overview BFC Brand Partnerships Sales team are responsible for creating new partnerships to support BFC’s key events (LFW, The Fashion Awards) and BFC Initiatives. The team establish and maintain strong relationships across all brand categories, providing best in class creative partnership opportunities to meet both brand and BFC commercial objectives, while upholding a strong pipeline of new business leads and converting sales. Responsibilities Support the Sales Manager on implementing the sales strategy.
Responsible for weekly reporting to C-suite on category updates. Responsible for the management of a minimum of two key sales categories with associated personal targets. Support from Sales Manager, Head of Partnerships and Commercial Director to manage risk.
Work with wider BFC teams when creating partnership proposals to ensure internal buy‑in from Events / Communications & PR / Marketing and Designer Relations. Work closely with Sales Manager and Account Management team to develop relevant and appropriate partnerships. Approve full partnership with Sales Manager as well as relevant internal teams, and ensure a successful transition through contract to delivery.
Step in to support Account Management when necessary to manage challenges and up‑sell identified opportunities. Process the sales expenditure budget lines – overseen by Sales Manager and Head of Partnerships. Achieve own sales category targets each FY.
Create and manage a comprehensive pipeline across all BFC events and initiatives – accountable for own categories supported by Sales Manager. Active outreach to prospective clients and manage all inbound queries – feeding through to Sales Manager where relevant based on seniority. Arrange weekly new business meetings with clients in categories to build relationships and maintain momentum with partnership pitches.
Report risk to Sales Manager and Head of Partnerships on own categories. Update generic pitch and sales decks, proposals and contracts – in line with BFC guidelines. Develop creative concepts and proposals with support from Sales Manager and Head of Partnerships.
Contribute to external pitch meetings – with support from Sales Manager, Head of Partnerships and Commercial Director. Ideate from proposal stage, with support from Sales Manager and Head of Partnerships at contracting stage. Campaigns Work with Account Management to identify up‑sell opportunities and pitch to existing clients, specific to the categories you own.
Post Campaign Prep for and attend review meetings, supporting Account Management in re‑signing existing clients for categories you own. Key Relationships External – commercial brand partners and agencies. Internal – events, communications, designer relations, finance, education and Government teams.
Any other duties that your Manager/Senior Member of the team deems relevant. Required Skills A minimum of 18 months sales experience in a relevant sales marketing position. Determination regarding setting and achieving goals and ambition around their own development.
Self‑starter and proactive. Confident presenter and communicator. Comfortable contributing to internal and external meetings.
Ability to identify high‑value partnership prospects, research brands’ priorities, and build a targeted pipeline. Skilled at building trust with clients, navigating multiple decision‑makers, and maintaining long‑term relationships. Ability to translate brand needs into compelling partnership narratives, articulating value and differentiation clearly.
Skilled in creating partnership proposals that combine commercial logic with creative activation ideas. Ability to negotiate terms, manage objections, and close deals that deliver mutual value. Knowledge of how brands measure success (awareness, engagement, conversion, perception, culture) and how partnerships support business goals.
Work effectively with other business functions (events, communications, legal, finance and account management teams) to bring partnerships to life. Strong awareness of industry trends, competitor movements, cultural moments, and consumer behaviour to spot opportunities early. A genuine interest in brand partnerships and the fashion industry.
