Job Title: BMS Lead (Building Management System) – Data Centre Location: Pune , Hinjewadi Department: Data Centre Operations Experience : 5 Yrs + in Data Centre Qualification: Diploma / BE in Electrical / Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineering Job Summary: The BMS Lead is responsible for the overall management, monitoring, and maintenance of the Building Management System (BMS) in a data centre environment. The role ensures optimal performance of critical infrastructure including HVAC, electrical systems, fire alarms, and environmental controls to maintain uptime and compliance with data centre standards. Key Responsibilities: 1.

BMS Operations & Monitoring Monitor and control all BMS systems including HVAC, UPS, DG, electrical panels, and environmental systems. Ensure 24/7 availability and smooth functioning of BMS in the data centre. Analyze alarms, alerts, and trends and initiate corrective actions. 2.

System Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of BMS systems. Identify faults and provide quick resolution to minimize downtime. Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs and AMC services. 3.

Data Centre Infrastructure Coordination Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and IT teams for integrated operations. Ensure coordination during maintenance, shutdowns, and emergency situations. Monitor temperature, humidity, and airflow to meet SLA requirements. 4.

Vendor Management Manage BMS vendors and service providers. Ensure compliance with SLAs, contracts, and reporting requirements. Supervise third-party technicians during maintenance activities. 5.

Documentation & Reporting Maintain logs, reports, and system documentation. Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports for management review. Maintain SOPs, checklists, and escalation matrices. 6.

Compliance & Safety Ensure adherence to safety standards, statutory requirements, and company policies. Support audits (internal/external) related to facilities and BMS. Ensure proper functioning of fire alarm and life safety systems. 7.

Team Supervision Lead and supervise BMS operators/technicians. Provide training and guidance to team members. Ensure proper shift management and manpower planning.

Key Skills Required: Strong knowledge of BMS/SCADA systems (e.g., Honeywell, Schneider, Siemens) Understanding of HVAC systems, chillers, AHU, CRAC/CRAH units Knowledge of electrical systems (UPS, DG, LT panels) Good analytical and troubleshooting skills Familiarity with data centre standards (Tier standards preferred) Strong communication and reporting skills Additional Requirements: Willingness to work in shifts (24x7 operations) Ability to handle emergency situations and pressure environments Regards, Nandini Bhitale Email: [email protected] Contact No: 9137841023
