Building Engineer - Journeyman Job Family: E&M Hours: M-F 6am - 3pm with availability for OT Location: 800 W Olympic Blvd Los Angeles, 90015 Schedule & Availability Candidate must be able to start on 11/17/2025 Possible extension of assignment after initial month Potential to convert to FTE if headcount available Work Environment Light production/studio setting within an office campus. Initial week of training during day shift. Team & Responsibilities Will work with a small team of other engineers, responding to electrical outages and handling office needs such as generators, cooling towers, and chillers.

Minor work requests on‑site include HVAC, minor electrical, and minor plumbing tasks. Licenses & Certifications Must have Electrical or HVAC certification Skills & Knowledge Ability to email nightly reports Basic HVAC knowledge Basic electrical knowledge Basic plumbing knowledge Troubleshooting HVAC and electrical issues (nice to have) Troubleshooting computer units (nice to have) Carpentry skills (nice to have) Experience & Education Years of experience: 6-10 years (originally listed as "6-1 years") Education: High school diploma or trade school preferred Software Skills Microsoft Outlook CMMS experience Building automation Interview Process 1 interview with H.M.; may be on-site or virtual What You’ll Do Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life‑safety, and control systems. Keep facilities and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.

Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety. Maintain an energy‑management program and ensure all systems operate efficiently. Assist with the implementation of a preventive‑maintenance program to ensure machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.

Perform emergency repairs as needed. Follow departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintain a clean and safe workplace.

Review inspection of building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation within design capabilities and achieve environmental conditions prescribed by the client. Apply in‑depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. Coach others and share knowledge of own discipline and broad knowledge of several disciplines within the function.

Lead by example, model behaviors consistent with RISE values, and work to build consensus. Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams. Work within broad guidelines and policies.

Explain difficult or sensitive information. What You’ll Need High school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5+ years of job‑related experience. Universal CFC certification preferred.

Certifications/licenses as required by local or state jurisdictions. Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred. Meet the physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions. In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset. Sophisticated math skills; ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial calculations. Background Package Safety specific with drug screen #J-18808-Ljbffr
